Fly in an ex-military Strikemaster jet from our base at North Weald Airfield, Essex. This Strikemaster jet experience is the only one of its kind available in the UK and is fully approved by the UK Civil Aviation Authority. The experience will last for around 30 minutes, with 20 minutes airborne.
All flights include a detailed pre-flight briefing, covering the aircraft, equipment and safety procedures. All passengers will be fully kitted out with high quality military flying clothing and equipment and receive a comprehensive briefing on the LIVE ejection seats. You will be given the opportunity to discuss and plan the route and content of your flight with your Jet Legends pilot, to ensure you get everything you want out of your time in the Strikemaster jet. Your flight will be operated from the 2000-meter tarmac runway at North Weald, which was once home to the RAF Red Arrows predecessors, the Black Arrows. Fly in an ex-military Strikemaster jet from our base at North Weald Airfield, Essex. This Strikemaster jet experience is the only one of its kind available in the UK and is fully approved by the UK Civil Aviation Authority. This ‘Maximum G Experience’ includes additional time to experience and fly sustained high G, aerobatic and combat manoeuvres, and plenty of opportunity for you to get some hands-on flying experience of the aircraft. The experience will last for around 35 minutes, with 25 minutes airborne.

Get to experience high speed flight up to 400 mph in our ex-military Strikmaster aircraft. Design and fly a route of your choice with our highly experience ex-military pilots. Tour the coast of Kent, Essex or Suffolk at high speed. Chose a flight to the White Cliffs of Dover or take a tour of the Suffolk coast to Southwold. BAC Strikemaster Fighter Jet

The BAC Strikemaster is a weaponised counter-insurgency and light attack aircraft. The ultimate development of the Jet Provost and predecessor to the Hawk, the Strikemaster is equipped with an uprated Rolls-Royce Viper turbo-jet engine, a strengthened airframe and wing hard-points and fuel tanks together with a completely new communications and navigational system in the cockpit alongside dual ejection seats.

North Weald Airfield was an important fighter station during the First and Second World War, specifically the Battle of Britain when it was known as the RAF Station RAF North Weald. North Weald Airfield was established in the summer of 1916 during the First World War by the Royal Flying Corps which later became Royal Air Force. During the interwar period, the RAF built large hangars and accommodation for the RAF personnel. North Weald Airfield played an important part in the air defence strategy for the United Kingdom during the Second World War.

Initially Hawker Hurricanes were deployed at the airfield, alongside Bristol Blenheim night fighters. The Hurricanes from North Weald saw action over the beaches of Dunkirk and played a key role in the Battle of Britain. In 1940, two American Eagle Squadrons moved into North Weald supplied with Spitfires. A couple of years later, Norwegian squadrons were reassigned to the airfield.

Following the war, jet fighter squadrons were based at North Weald. The sight of Gloster Meteors and de Havilland Vampire fighters in the west Essex skies was commonplace from 1949. The last front line combat unit, No. 111 Squadron RAF flying Hawker Hunters, the famous Black Arrows of 22 loop formation fame, left North Weald in 1958. North Weald Airfield now offers our passengers year round flying capability from its two long Tarmac runways, iconic original World War Two infrastructure and spectacular views over London immediately after take off.
